Prepare a CGI brief
- Identify the products and share the source material you have: CAD, dimensioned drawings, photographs or existing models. Flag missing measurements rather than leaving them open to interpretation.
- Include finish references and the variants you need. State which product details and materials are confirmed and which still require approval.
- List the image types, quantities and intended use: product pages, printed catalogues or campaigns. Add required crops, target dates and any decisions that depend on the first preview.
Plan a product range
- Make a product list with the required finishes and views for each SKU. Mark exceptions so unused combinations are excluded from the scope.
- Count outputs from that matrix. For example, five products in three finishes with two views each would need 30 outputs if every combination is required. This is an example, not a fixed package.
- Choose a representative product for geometry, materials, camera and lighting approval before expanding the range. Include file naming and web or print delivery requirements in the plan.
